Pril Glass Sign, Herbert Leupin, Chemnitz, Düsseldorf, circa 1955 (1-)
Ausrufpreis: € 180,-
Glass advertising sign, lithographed behind glass, mounted in its original sheet metal frame. Design and signature: Herbert Leupin (1916 Beinwil am See - 1999 Basel). Pril was launched in 1951 by the Henkel subsidiary "Böhme Fettchemie GmbH" as a powder solution and initially sold in packages, as shown here. The now familiar liquid version followed in 1959. The design shown here was published in 1952; the motif depicts the famous Pril duck, visibly delighted, presenting a sparkling clean piece of crockery. Dimensions: approximately 45 × 21 cm. Beautifully vibrant colors, no restorations or overpainting. One scratch in the glass, otherwise in very good condition, condition 1-! You are guaranteed to purchase only vintage originals at our auctions.
