Magnificent coffee and tea service in 800 silver with mythological relief decoration, Germany, around 1900

Representative, multi-piece silver service consisting of a teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl with lid, cream jug and two rectangular coasters/trays. The vessels are divided into six sections and richly decorated with surrounding figurative relief scenes depicting antique-style depictions of putti, dancers and musicians - complemented by floral ornamentation, scrollwork and stylised leaf motifs. The body walls, spouts, handles and lids are finely embossed and masterfully chased. All parts standing on four curved feet. Silver content: 800, hallmarked with crescent, crown and hallmark ‘800’. Height teapot: approx. 20 cm, coffee pot: approx. 26 cm. Total weight: approx. 2320 grams. Very good condition, minimal signs of age-related wear.
