Finely crafted bronze sculpture of an undressed, youthful male nude in a dancing pose with his arms outstretched wide. He is balancing a ball on his raised left arm - a symbolic game of balance and control. The figure is modelled in anatomical detail and wears classicist-inspired sandals. The body rests on a round plinth, mounted on a towering, bulging plinth made of reddish veined marble. Signed on the plinth: Pieper, total height: approx. 38 cm. One finger on the left hand broken and fingers bent. Otherwise in very good condition, beautiful age-appropriate patina, marble plinth undamaged.
