A large showpiece bowl on an oval, multi-stepped stand. On top of it four fully sculptured mythical creatures carrying the bowl with a surrounding putti relief band. On the sides two handles in the form of fully sculptured putti. The bowl is in very good condition, with original glass insert, no obvious defects. Hallmark: Crescent moon/crown, 800 (silver fineness), maker's mark: Schleißner Hanau. Height 23.5 cm, width (from putto to putto) 32 cm, depth bowl: 19.5 cm, weight (without glass insert): 1061 grams, 1660 grams (with glass insert).
